Robert Symonds was an American actor who appeared in The Exorcist (1973). He had a diverse career with roles in films such as The Devil's Brigade (1968), The Great Gatsby (1974), and The Last Starfighter (1984). Symonds also appeared in television series like M*A*S*H and The Rockford Files. He was married to actress Priscilla Pointer from 1980 until his passing in 2007. Symonds was the stepfather of actress Amy Irving.
