Robbie Coltrane is a Scottish actor who played Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter film series from 2001 to 2011. He gained fame for his role as Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky in the James Bond films GoldenEye (1995) and The World Is Not Enough (1999). Coltrane's career began with appearances in the sketch series Alfresco (1983–1984) and he achieved further recognition as Dr. Eddie 'Fitz' Fitzgerald in the ITV series Cracker (1993–2006), earning three British Academy Television Awards for Best Actor. His film credits include Mona Lisa (1986), Ocean's Twelve (2004), and Brave (2012). In 2006, he was appointed an OBE.
