Rob Reiner is an American filmmaker and actor who directed the influential mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap (1984). His extensive filmography includes notable works such as Stand by Me (1986), A Few Good Men (1992), and When Harry Met Sally... (1989). Reiner's career has earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Hugo Award, along with nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award. He co-founded Castle Rock Entertainment in 1987 and was active in various political causes, advocating for LGBTQ rights and early childhood education.
