Rob Ford was a Canadian politician who served as the 64th mayor of Toronto from 2010 to 2014. He was first elected to the Toronto City Council in 2000 and held his seat for three terms. His tenure as mayor was marked by numerous controversies, including a highly publicized substance abuse scandal in 2013, which led to significant media attention. Despite these challenges, Ford attempted to run for mayor again in 2014 but ultimately withdrew due to health issues related to an abdominal tumor.
