RM is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer who released his first solo mixtape, RM, in 2015. He is the leader of the globally renowned boy group BTS, which debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Music. RM's second mixtape, mono, made history by becoming the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist in the US when it reached number 26 on the Billboard 200. His 2022 studio album Indigo peaked at number three on the Billboard 200, marking another milestone as the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist. In 2018, he received the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit from the South Korean President. RM appears in BTS: THE RETURN (2026).
