Ricky Gervais is an English comedian and actor who starred as David Brent in The Office (2001-2003). He co-wrote and co-directed this series with Stephen Merchant. Gervais has appeared in several films, including Ghost Town (2008) and The Invention of Lying (2009). He also lent his voice to characters in animated features such as The Willoughbys (2020) and Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (2022). Gervais has received seven BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globe Awards.
