Rick Shapiro is a Los Angeles-based comedian and actor who began his career in the early 1980s at Catch A Rising Star on Broadway. He has appeared in several films directed by Louis CK, including Tomorrow Night and Lucky Louie on HBO, where he played Jerry. Shapiro also portrayed the recurring character 'Angry Poet' on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and acted in Chris Rock's Top Five. He voiced Mason Waylon in Grand Theft Auto IV and played T-Rick in Project X (2012). In 2012, he published his first book, Unfiltered, which features over 200 unreleased writings.
