Rick Roberts is a Canadian actor who portrayed Donald D'Arby in the series Traders. He briefly relocated to Los Angeles in 1998, appearing in the CBS show L.A. Doctors. Upon returning to Canada, he starred in An American in Canada, which aired for two seasons. In 2012, he played Jack Layton in the CBC biopic Jack, earning a Canadian Screen Award and an ACTRA Award for Best Actor. His extensive television credits include guest roles on Saving Hope, Copper, and Murdoch Mysteries, among others. Additionally, Roberts is a writer, with his play Kite receiving multiple Dora Award nominations for its writing and production.
