Richard Young is an American actor who played the character Matt in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985). He began his career in the early 1970s with guest roles on television and appeared in Roger Corman's exploitation films, including Fly Me and Night Call Nurses (both 1972). Young gained further recognition with roles in films such as High Risk (1981) and The Ice Pirates (1984). He appeared as Fedora in the opening of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). His filmography includes a leading role in Final Mission (1984) and a supporting role in An Innocent Man (1989). Young's career saw a decline after starring in Eye of the Widow (1991).
