Richard Widmark is an American actor who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance as Tommy Udo in his debut film, Kiss of Death (1947). He initially gained recognition for portraying villainous characters in film noirs but later expanded his repertoire to include heroic roles in westerns, dramas, and horror films. Widmark appeared in Against All Odds (1984) and was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was also inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame in 2002.
