Richard Roxburgh is an Australian actor and filmmaker who began his career with the Sydney Theatre Company. He has appeared in notable films such as Moulin Rouge! (2001), Mission: Impossible II (2000), and Van Helsing (2004), as well as the television series Rake (2010–2018). His work has earned him several accolades, including AFI and AACTA Awards, Logie Awards, and Helpmann Awards. Roxburgh also featured in the recent film Elvis (2022).
