Richard Loo was an American film actor who appeared in over 120 films from 1931 to 1982. He was of Chinese descent and grew up in Hawaii before moving to California as a teenager. Loo's career began in business, but after the stock market crash of 1929, he transitioned to acting, often portraying stereotypical roles, particularly as Japanese soldiers during World War II in films such as The Purple Heart (1944) and God Is My Co-Pilot (1945). He also had a notable role as the Thai billionaire Hai Fat in The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). Loo's final acting role was in the TV series The Incredible Hulk in 1981, and he continued to appear in commercials until 1982.
