Richard Edson is an American actor and musician who made his film debut in Stranger Than Paradise (1984). He gained recognition for his performances in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), Do The Right Thing (1989), Super Mario Bros. (1993), and Strange Days (1995). In addition to his acting career, Edson was a founding member of the art rock band The Alterboys and served as the original drummer for Sonic Youth. He also played trumpet for The Offs on their 1984 album. Edson appeared in 3 from Hell (2019).
