Richard Dormer is a Northern Irish actor, playwright, and screenwriter who gained recognition for his portrayal of Alex Higgins in the film Hurricane, which he also wrote. He received The Stage award for best actor in 2003 for this performance. Dormer has appeared in notable works such as Good Vibrations (2012), where he played Terri Hooley, and the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012), taking on the role of Lord Beric Dondarrion. His stage credits include performances in Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme and various productions directed by Sir Peter Hall. In addition to acting, Dormer has written plays like The Half and Gentleman's Tea Drinking Society. He also lent his voice to over twenty BBC Radio 4 productions. Dormer starred in Togo (2019).
