Rene Russo is an American actress who made her film debut in the comedy Major League (1989). She gained fame in the 1990s through her roles in action and thriller films, including Lethal Weapon 3 (1992), In the Line of Fire (1993), and Ransom (1996). After a five-year hiatus, Russo returned to acting as Frigga in the superhero film Thor (2011), a role she reprised in Thor: The Dark World (2013). In 2014, she starred in Nightcrawler, earning a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. Russo has also featured in The Intern (2015) and Velvet Buzzsaw (2019).
