Rawson Marshall Thurber is an American filmmaker who directed the hit comedy DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story (2004). He began his career as an assistant to screenwriter John August and gained recognition for his work on commercials before transitioning to feature films. Thurber directed the action-comedy Central Intelligence (2016), starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, and the successful We're the Millers (2013), featuring Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston. He collaborated with Johnson again on the action film Skyscraper (2018) and the Netflix project Red Notice (2021), which also starred Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. Thurber will direct the film adaptation of Ubisoft's The Division, featuring Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain.
