Raúl Juliá is a Puerto Rican actor who portrayed "Gomez Addams" in The Addams Family (1991) and its sequel Addams Family Values (1993). He began his acting journey in school and later moved to New York City, where he became involved in Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Juliá gained recognition through his performances in the New York Shakespeare Festival and received a Tony Award nomination for Two Gentlemen of Verona, along with several other nominations during his career. He also earned accolades in film, winning the National Board of Review Award for Best Actor for Kiss of the Spider Woman. Juliá's posthumous honors include a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for his role in The Burning Season.
