Raoul Bova is an Italian actor who made his film debut in the 1996 movie "La Piovra 7: Indagine sulla morte del Commissario Cattani". He gained international attention for his roles in films such as "Avenging Angelo" (2002) and "AVP: Alien vs. Predator" (2004). Before pursuing acting, Bova was a local champion in the 100 meter backstroke and served in the Italian Army's Bersaglieri corps. He studied at the Beatrice Bracco school in Rome and with acting coach Michael Margotta. In addition to his acting career, Bova was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2010.
