Rachel Skarsten is a Canadian actress who played Dinah Lance / Black Canary in the WB series Birds of Prey (2002). She began her career in theatre, performing at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. Skarsten gained recognition for her role as Tamsin in the Syfy series Lost Girl (2010-2015), a character who is a half-human, half-Succubus Fae. She portrayed Elizabeth I of England in the CW series Reign (2013-2017), earning a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Additionally, she starred as Beth Kane / Alice in Batwoman (2019-2022). Skarsten appeared in The Royal Nanny (2022).
