Rachel Brosnahan is an American actress who made her film debut in the horror movie The Unborn (2009). She gained significant recognition for her role as an aspiring stand-up comedian in the Amazon Prime Video series The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel (2017–2023), earning a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards for her performance. Brosnahan has appeared in various films, including Beautiful Creatures (2013), The Finest Hours (2016), and The Courier (2020). Her television credits also include the political thriller House of Cards (2013–2015) and the drama series Manhattan (2014–2015). In theatre, she debuted on Broadway in The Big Knife and played Desdemona in Othello. She will appear in Superman (2025).
