R. Sarathkumar is an Indian film actor who began his career with the Telugu movie Samajamlo Sthree in 1986. He has appeared in over 130 films across various languages, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada, and has established himself as a prominent figure in Tamil cinema, earning the title of Supreme Star. His notable works include Ponniyin Selvan: Part I (2022), Ponniyin Selvan: Part II (2023), and I (2015). Sarathkumar has received two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South. He also ventured into politics by founding the All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi in 2007 and served as the president of the Nadigar Sangam from 2006 to 2015.
