R. Parthiban is an Indian actor, director, producer, and writer who made his acting debut in the film Puthiya Paadai (1992). He has appeared in over 50 films and directed nearly 10, with notable works including the critically acclaimed Pudhiya Paadhai (1989) and Housefull (1999), both of which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. Parthiban gained prominence with his performance in Bharathi Kannamma (1996), which established him as a star, and he has since featured in films like Aayirathil Oruvan (2010), Tughlaq Durbar (2021), and the Ponniyin Selvan series (2022-2023).
