Queen Latifah is an American rapper, actress, and singer who released her debut album, All Hail the Queen, in 1989. She gained prominence for her role as Khadijah James in the sitcom Living Single, which aired from 1993 to 1998. Latifah's film credits include significant roles in Set It Off (1996), Chicago (2002), and Last Holiday (2006). She received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in Chicago and won a Primetime Emmy Award for her work in the HBO film Bessie (2015). In addition to her acting career, she has produced music and hosted The Queen Latifah Show. Latifah became the first hip hop artist to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006.
