Puneeth Rajkumar is an Indian actor who played the lead role in Appu (2002). He was the youngest son of the renowned actor Dr. Rajkumar and had a career that spanned three decades in Kannada cinema. As a child actor, he received acclaim for performances in films such as Bettada Hoovu (1985), for which he won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. His notable films include Raajakumara (2017), Natasaarvabhowma (2019), and James (2022). Puneeth Rajkumar was honored with the Karnataka Ratna, the state's highest civilian award, posthumously in 2022.
