Prunella Scales is an English former actor who portrayed Sybil Fawlty in the BBC comedy Fawlty Towers. She gained recognition for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in A Question of Attribution (1991), which earned her a BAFTA nomination. Scales also appeared in the documentary series Great Canal Journeys from 2014 to 2021, traveling on canal barges with her husband, Timothy West. Her film credits include Wolf (1994). Scales was appointed CBE.
