Poorna Jagannathan is an American producer and actress of Indian descent who portrayed Safar Khan in the HBO miniseries The Night Of. She played Nalini Vishwakumar in the Netflix series Never Have I Ever. Jagannathan co-conceived and acted in the play Nirbhaya, which is noted as a significant work in the realm of human rights theatre. Her film credits include Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) and Growing Up Smith (2017). In addition, she was named among the "Top 100 Most Impactful Asians" in America by Goldhouse in 2021 and 2022.
