Pilou Asbæk is a Danish actor who portrayed Euron Greyjoy in HBO's Game of Thrones. He gained recognition for his performances in films such as Ben-Hur (2016) as Pontius Pilate, The Great Wall (2016) as Bouchard, and Ghost in the Shell (2017) as Batou. Asbæk also appeared in Overlord (2018) as Captain Wafner and starred as Cyrus in Samaritan (2022). In addition to his film work, he played the troubled spin doctor Kasper Juul in the Danish political drama Borgen. He received the Shooting Stars Award at the 2011 Berlin International Film Festival.
