Pierce Brosnan is an Irish actor who portrayed James Bond in four films from 1995 to 2002. He gained fame with the television series Remington Steele (1982–87) before transitioning to film, starring in notable titles such as Dante's Peak (1997), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), and The World Is Not Enough (1999). His performance in Mamma Mia! (2008) earned him a National Movie Award nomination. In addition to acting, Brosnan is a film producer and environmentalist, co-founding the production company Irish DreamTime in 1996. He has also been involved in charitable work and activism. Brosnan provided his voice and likeness for the video game James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (2004).
