Philip Jackson is an English actor who portrayed Chief Inspector Japp in the television series Agatha Christie's Poirot. He began his acting career while studying Drama and German at the University of Bristol and has performed in various theatres across Leeds, Liverpool, and London. His notable stage performances include Pozzo in Waiting for Godot in 1991 and Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman in 2010. Jackson's film credits include Scum, Brassed Off, and My Week with Marilyn. He was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance in Little Voice. Jackson also appeared in the music video for A-Ha's "Take On Me."
