Philip Akin is a Canadian actor who first gained attention in the early 1980s with his role in the comedy series Bizarre. He has appeared in notable films such as The Sum of All Fears (2002), S.W.A.T. (2003), and Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2005). Akin has voiced Bishop in the X-Men animated series. He portrayed Kofi Annan in Shake Hands with the Devil (2007) and has a recurring role as Charlie DeSalvo in Highlander: The Series. Akin is a founding member and the Artistic Director of the Obsidian Theatre Company, which focuses on works by black playwrights.
