Peter Weller is an American film and stage actor who played the title role in RoboCop (1987) and its sequel. He starred in The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984) and portrayed Stan Liddy in the Showtime series Dexter. Weller received an Academy Award nomination for directing the short film Partners (1993), where he also acted. Additionally, he hosted the History channel show Engineering an Empire. He appeared in Screamers (1995).
