Peter Gerety is an American actor who portrayed officer Stuart Gharty in the television series Homicide: Life on the Street (1996–1999). He has appeared in various films including Inside Man (2006), Wolf (1994), and Charlie Wilson's War (2007). Gerety also played Judge Daniel Phelan in The Wire (2002–2008) and had a role in the series Sneaky Pete (2015–2019). His filmography includes notable titles such as K-Pax and War of the Worlds. In addition to his screen work, Gerety has performed in numerous stage productions on and off-Broadway.
