Peter Cushing is an English actor who portrayed Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars (1977). He gained prominence through his extensive work with Hammer Films, where he took on roles such as Baron Frankenstein and Dr. Van Helsing, often alongside Christopher Lee. Cushing also made notable appearances as Sherlock Holmes and starred as the enigmatic Doctor Who in the films Doctor Who and the Daleks and Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD, released in 1965 and 1966, respectively.
