Peter Capaldi is a Scottish actor, writer, and director who portrayed the twelfth incarnation of the Doctor in Doctor Who. He received significant recognition for his role as Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It, earning four British Academy Television Award nominations and winning Best Male Comedy Performance in 2010.
