Perry Farrell is the frontman for the alternative rock band Jane's Addiction, which he formed in the 1980s. He created the Lollapalooza festival in 1991 as a farewell tour for his band, which has since transformed into an annual music event. Farrell has also led other musical projects, including Porno For Pyros and Satellite Party, and has worked as a DJ. He produces Lollapalooza in collaboration with the William Morris Agency and C3. Farrell appears in the documentary The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers: Our Brother, Hillel (2026).
