Peggy Pope is an American actress who won an Obie Award for Best Actress in 1968 for her role in Muzeeka. She appeared in numerous television series, including Bewitched, Barney Miller, and The Golden Girls. Pope is well-remembered for portraying Margaret Foster, 'the office lush', in the film 9 to 5 (1980). Her film credits also include a role as Elvira in The Last Starfighter (1984) and as Mark Kendall's mother in Once Bitten (1985). In addition to her screen work, she had a significant presence on Broadway with performances in productions such as Harvey (1970) and The Rose Tattoo (1966). Pope appeared in The Substitute (1996).
