Pedro Armendáriz Jr. was a Mexican actor who appeared in the James Bond film Licence to Kill as president Hector Lopez. He had a diverse career in both film and television across the United States and Mexico. His notable works include Amistad (1997), The Mask of Zorro (1998), The Mexican (2001), and The Legend of Zorro (2005). Armendáriz was diagnosed with eye cancer in November 2011 and passed away on December 26, 2011. His remains were interred at Panteón Jardín in Mexico City.
