Paul Rhys is a Welsh actor who gained recognition for his role as Theo van Gogh in Vincent & Theo (1990). He began his acting career in theatre, notably in John Godber's play Bouncers, before training at RADA, where he received the William Pole prize and the Bancroft Gold Medal. His film credits include Tumbledown (1988), Chaplin (1992), and From Hell (2001). Rhys has also had a significant television career, appearing in series such as Luther, Agatha Christie's Poirot, and The Assets. Rhys portrays Talleyrand in Ridley Scott's epic Napoleon (2023).
