Paul Copley is a British actor who won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a New Play for his performance in For King and Country (1976). He began his career in theatre, joining the Leeds Playhouse Theatre-in-education Company in 1971 after teaching English and Drama. Copley has appeared in various roles across stage, film, television, and radio, gaining significant recognition for his portrayal of Mr. Mason in the series Downton Abbey (2011-2015). His film credits include Enola Holmes (2020). Copley has been married to actress Natasha Pyne since 1972, after they met in a Leeds Playhouse production.
