Pat Morita is an American actor of Japanese descent who portrayed Mr. Miyagi in The Karate Kid series, earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1984. He gained fame for his role as Matsuo "Arnold" Takahashi on the television show Happy Days. Morita's filmography includes notable titles such as The Karate Kid Part II (1986), The Karate Kid Part III (1989), and The Next Karate Kid (1994). He also lent his voice to the character of a wise old man in Mulan II (2004).
