Owen Teale is a Welsh actor who made his film debut in War Requiem (1989). He trained at the Guildford School of Acting and began his television career in The Mimosa Boys (1984). Teale gained prominence through roles in series such as Dangerfield, Ballykissangel, and Belonging, and he later appeared in Spooks and Murphy's Law. His notable film roles include Lophakin in The Cherry Orchard (1999) and Nazi Judge Roland Freisler in the HBO film Conspiracy. He played Ser Alliser Thorne in Game of Thrones, based on George R. R. Martin's novels. Teale also appeared in Dream Horse (2021).
