Olympia Dukakis is an American actress who won an Academy Award for her role in Moonstruck (1987). She began her career in theater, earning an Obie Award for Best Actress in 1963 for her performance in Bertolt Brecht's Man Equals Man. Over her career, she appeared in more than 130 stage productions, over 60 films, and 50 television series. Her notable film credits include Sinatra (1992) and the television series More Tales of the City (1998), for which she received an Emmy nomination. Dukakis published her autobiography, Ask Me Again Tomorrow: A Life in Progress, in 2003. She also appeared in Tales of the City (2019).
