Obba Babatundé is an American actor who received a Tony Award nomination for his portrayal of C.C. White in the original cast of the Broadway musical Dreamgirls (1981). He has notable roles in How High (2001) and After the Sunset (2004). Babatundé's television career includes performances as a high school principal on Dawson's Creek and as a judge in Any Day Now. He also appeared in the miniseries The Temptations as Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records. In addition to acting, he is skilled in American sign language.
