Nishikant Kamat is an Indian filmmaker whose debut film, Dombivali Fast, became the highest-grossing Marathi film of its release year. He directed the Hindi film Mumbai Meri Jaan, which centers on the 2006 Mumbai Bombings, marking his entry into Bollywood. Kamat also remade Dombivali Fast in Tamil as Evano Oruvan, starring R. Madhavan, which received positive reviews. His notable works include Drishyam (2015), Madaari (2016), and 404: Error Not Found (2011). In addition to directing, he appeared in a negative role in Rocky Handsome (2016).
