Nigel Betts is an English actor who portrayed Eddie Hope in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale from 2003 to 2007. He has appeared in various British television series, including Doctor Who, where he had a recurring role as Mr. Armitage, and the sitcom Boy Meets Girl as Tony. Betts's extensive television credits also feature roles in Downton Abbey, EastEnders, and Coronation Street, among others. In addition to his screen work, he has a rich theatre background, performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company and in productions like War Horse and The 39 Steps.
