Nicoletta Braschi is an Italian actress who starred as the wife of an Italian Jew in Life Is Beautiful (1997). She studied at Rome's Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she met her husband, Roberto Benigni, in 1980. Braschi made her film debut alongside Benigni in the 1983 comedy Tu Mi Turbi. Their collaborations include Johnny Stecchino (1992) and Life Is Beautiful. She received a Screen Actors Guild nomination for her role in the latter and is a recipient of the David di Donatello award. In 2002, she served on the jury at the Berlin Film Festival.
