Nicholas Turturro is an American actor who portrayed James Martinez in NYPD Blue from 1993 to 2000. He is the younger sibling of actor John Turturro and a cousin of actress Aida Turturro. Turturro received an Emmy Award nomination for his performance on NYPD Blue, where he appeared for seven seasons. His other significant roles include Al Capone in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (1992-1993), Brucie in The Longest Yard (2005), and Sgt. Anthony Renzulli in Blue Bloods (2010-2016). He also appeared in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (2015) and First Sunday (2008).
