Néstor Carbonell is an American actor known for his portrayal of Luis Rivera in the NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan. He played Richard Alpert in the ABC series Lost and Sheriff Alex Romero in Bates Motel. Carbonell appeared as Mayor Anthony Garcia in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight (2008) and its sequel The Dark Knight Rises (2012). His recent work includes roles in Motherland (2025) and The Rip (2026). In 2024, he received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in the FX series Shōgun.
