Ncuti Gatwa is a Rwandan-Scottish actor who gained prominence for his role as Eric Effiong in the Netflix series Sex Education. His performance in the show earned him a BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Actor in Television, along with three nominations for the BAFTA Television Award for Best Male Comedy Performance. In 2022, Gatwa was cast as the fifteenth incarnation of the Doctor in the BBC series Doctor Who, marking a significant milestone as the first black actor to lead the series. He also appeared in The Last Letter from Your Lover (2021).
