Nate Varrone is a Lebanese/Italian comedian and TV writer who created the character Mr. Simp. He is an alum of The Second City Mainstage in Chicago and has written for platforms including Vulture and Comedy Central. Varrone was part of Comedy Central's "Up Next" Showcase in 2019 at Clusterfest and served as a writer for the Emmy-nominated series Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out The News. His film work includes a role in Later Days (2021). Varrone is also a member of the Middle Eastern Writers Committee in the WGA.
